Welcome to New England Writers! New England Writers (NEW) founded in 1986 and based in Vermont, provides a not-for-profit writer's forum and pipeline for evolving excellence in writing in New England and nation/worldwide.

New England Writers sponsors nationally advertised free verse contest, a short fiction contest and a creative nonfiction contest, an afternoon writers conference and an annual journal of winners of the contests called The Anthology of New England Writers. Annual membership includes a spring and fall newsletter, NewScript , and free critiques, if sent with a self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE). Sample copes of the anthology may be purchased for $6.00 (postage included) from New England Writers, PO Box 5 , Windsor , VT 05089.
