New England Writers Anthology

The Anthology of New England Writers, published annually since 1989, contains the award-winning poetry and one short fiction from the annual nationally advertised contests. In 2008 the first creative nonfiction winning piece will be published. The journal is indexed and is distributed to several university, college and public libraries.

Some of the poetry judges have been John Ashbery, Alice Fogel, David Kirby, Wesley McNair, Vivian Shipley, Sue Walker, Rosanna Warren, Peter Filkins, Annie Finch and Sheila Tombe. More recent fiction judges have been Ernest Hebert, Reeve Lindbergh, Elizabeth Graver, Christopher Castellani and David King. They become our Advisory Editors and are listed in the anthology along with Sponsor and Patron supporters of New England Writers.

The poetry, fiction and creative nonfiction contest winners are announced at the writer's conference the third Saturday in July. The Anthology is distributed free to the winning contributors.
